For a sustainable Farmstay

The background to Farmstay Swedens sustainability project is nothing less than the major global goals for sustainable development until 2030.

As we all leave footprints in nature, it is up to us to work together for a sustainable development. As farmers, we start with what we have at hand and work continuously to reduce energy use, acquire clean water, improve our recycling, cleaning and housekeeping. For 2 years, the national association of FarmstaySweden has implemented a common sustainability policy and a list of requirements for our hosts: This is our first stage victory and a starting point for a long and successful journey towards sustainability.
